Oh, if I had a nickel for every single time I have heard this saying the past few weeks. "Well, bless your heart!" Just yesterday in the line at Subway the lady behind the counter asked me how Kate was doing. I told her "great!" and she asked me how old she was. When I told her 17 months, she asked me, "Well, it's about time for another, isn't it?" My guess is that she noticed my large tummy but didn't want to commit the cardinal social faux pas of asking whether or not a woman is pregnant unless you are completely and totally 100% sure that she is, in fact, pregnant. When I told her, that yes, it was in fact time for another, and that believe it or not, we were expecting TWO, the words came out yet again. "Oh, wow! Well, bless your heart!" Then as I proceeded to tell her that we had just discovered they were none other than two little BOYS, the lady in the line in front of me pitched her two cents in as well. "Oh my goodness!! Bless you!" Between the "bless your heart's" and the "glad it's you and not me's" somehow I just have to laugh it off and be thankful that all is well and we are all healthy. I must say though that I have enjoyed watching people's different reactions :)
Just get ready for the "Oh are they twins?" question. "No, they're just exactly the same size and look exactly alike and are wearing the same outfit. But not twins thanks." So fun:)
