Spring Break 2014

The first 3 photos of this post have nothing to do with Spring Break...just cute bath time photos...

Grammy and Grandpa graciously welcomed us into their home again this year for Masters Week.  We had another great week in Perry.  We headed down Saturday before Masters and enjoyed playing and visiting with friends and family.  On Sunday all the cousins from LaGrange/Colorado came over to visit with us...it was a house full!  Lots of little sweets running around everywhere!

On Monday of that week we took just Kate and headed down to Disney for a few days.  I struggled with leaving the boys behind.  But now I believe it was definitely the best decision....not to say we didn't miss them like crazy :/  It felt so different traipsing around with only one little one in tow!  Definitely a much MUCH lighter, quicker load!  Oh my goodness, though, DISNEY.  I just loved it...more so than I thought I would.  I cannot wait to go back...and next time take the boys with us.

Dinner at Ohana's our first night there

New Ariel nightgown :)

It's the castle!!!

All smiles getting on our very first ride...the Barnstormer...

...she obviously didn't love it.  Well, we tried!

All smiles again on Aladdin's Magic Carpet Ride...definitely a little more her speed :)

Getting ready to go meet Cinderella and have lunch in her castle!!  Oh this was so fun.

Climbing the stairs to Cinderella's dining room

ALL the princesses came out while we were eating lunch!  She was in awe :)

Rainy Day Princess Problems....

So we tried...key word TRIED...the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique.  However, we weren't quite ready for that.  She was totally into picking out her hairstyle, which is what she's doing here, but once they actually started fixing her hair, she quickly decided getting her hair all fixed up just wasn't really her thing....yes, a few tears were shed ;)   Needless to say, we kindly left!   :)  Hope to try this again next time...

Mom of the year...making her go in the Haunted Mansion ;)

Waiting to go in to the Beast's Castle for dinner

Oh. My. Word.  The Scooter.  I laughed more this week than I had in a while just watching Joe whiz around Disney on this scooter.  These things are EVERYwhere down there!  He wasn't real thrilled about having to use it at first, but he quickly realized this trip would have been very difficult for him without it.  My feet and legs were sore at the end of the day...and I do NOT have a broken femur.  So we definitely needed it, but let me just tell you...it was quite humorous!

Our two vehicles for the week!

Our first Disney visit as parents was a great learning experience and so. much. fun!!!  To see the excitement on her little face and just experience everything through HER.  Definitely memories I will never forget!  I cannot wait to get back down there once the boys are a little older.

On the way back from Orlando we stopped over one night and stayed in Valdosta with Julee and Parker.  Then we got up early the next morning and headed on back to Perry...we were ready to get our hands on two little boys!  We had a great weekend celebrating Joe's birthday with friends and family before heading back home on Monday.

We had such a great week away and are forever thankful for Grammy and Grandpa for opening up their home for our crazy crew to come crash!  And especially for taking such good care of "the brothers" while we were in Orlando!  Thank you, thank you, Grammy and Grandpa!  We love y'all!
