Woke up this morning at 6am. Rushed through getting dressed, getting all the kids dressed and fed, so we could get Kate and Daddy off for Kate's 2 year check-up then school, the boys fed and back down for their naps, and me out the door for a haircut. Talked with Kathryn to be sure she had all she needed for the boys while I was out. While getting haircut, Joe was supposed to swing by to drop off car seat so I could go pick up Kate and Will from school when I was finished. Joe got tied up and couldn't meet, so I ran by Mom's office to get her car seat. Rush to get Will and Kate so I can be home in time for early afternoon feeding. Drop off Will at Kelly's. Head home and walk in the door with wild 2-year old and boys waking up from naps hungry. Talk briefly to Kathryn before she leaves. Prepare bottles. Load John onto changing table while Matthew fusses in crib nearby, hungry, and Kate is running circles around the nursery singing songs she learned at school today. Turn my head to comfort Matthew while he is fussing, look back down, and notice John has peed all over himself, the walls, changing table, and floor. Undress John. Grab wipe and begin to clean up mess. Smell something strange. Turn around to a red-faced Kate working on a large, nasty diaper. Matthew continues to cry. Wipe John down and re-dress him, put new dry pads on changing table. Pick John up. He presses his face against mine and I notice he has peed all over his head and face, which is now all over my face. Lay John back down, wipe down his head and face...and mine. Lay John in crib and pick up a now screaming Matthew. Change Matthew's diaper. He does
not pee everywhere. Lay Matthew back in crib, he is settled down now. Go get clean diaper for Kate. Hoist Kate up on changing table and clean her up. Get Kate down and run dirty diaper outside to trash...holding breath. Grab bottles and get boys situated for feeding while Kate runs around the room singing songs she learned at school. Finish feeding. Go lay Kate down for afternoon nap. Boys play in floor while I go pump. And heavens to bets it's only 3 in the afternoon.
