We had another good 4th with awesome front row seats of the Patriots Park Fireworks...right from our own front yard. Joe manned the grill and made some spectacular BBQ...soooo good. I was even able to go out to watch the fireworks for a few minutes! Kate wasn't too sure about the fireworks this year...she clung to Joe pretty tightly during the whole thing, until the very end. She decided they were kinda cool then, and when there was a pause in between them, she would say, "More, more!"
Patriotic Kate---getting so big :(
Lori came to visit for the fireworks
Doing sparklers with Papa...
As for the twin front, I am still hanging in there, if only by a thread. We went back to the doctor today and got quite a surprise. During our ultrasound we discovered that Baby "B" (John) has turned from breech to head down. None of us thought he would have managed to turn at this point (they are packed in there TIGHT!). So somewhere between last week's appointment and today he managed to make the switch. Which means......as long as he stays like this, we may have the option of a normal delivery. The whole time we have been really planning on a C-section, seeing as they have been telling us the likelihood of him going head down was slim. Both methods of delivery obviously have their advantages and disadvantages, so Joe and I have will have a decision to make. We have been told and have read that C-section deliveries for twins sharing a placenta can sometimes be safer than normal delivery. Praying that the Lord guides us with our decision and we are able to choose what is safest and healthiest for these babies.
Obviously this has caused some changes with me as well. I have begun to experience slightly more intense contractions and am feeling more pressure. If only there were a way to predict when real labor will officially begin! Seems like that would take so much anxiety out of the whole process for expectant moms. I feel like a ticking time bomb, just waiting to go off. I also feel like I make everyone around me nervous. I do think we are ever so close now, definitely working on borrowed time. Today my doctor suggested that we perform an amniocentesis next week to determine lung maturity, and if it's there, then going on ahead and scheduling our delivery, considering all we have been through. She is going to consult with our high-risk doctor and let us know something tomorrow. So, babies could very well be here within a week or so...we'll see. We are ready. This has been such a long journey, we are ready to get them here and know that they are healthy and safe. And I am ready to get off the couch! Although I'm told that in a few weeks, I will be begging for that couch :)

Wow Amanda! Sounds like John & Matthew may make their debut soon! Kate is getting so big, as is Carson. It just flies by with these little ones, doesn't it? Thanks for the update & hang in there! :)
