Well, seems like we here at the Todd Household have officially lost our minds. Yes, as the post title indicates, our home is officially under contract and we will be adding building a new home to our plate this year. Kind of funny how it all happened, but nonetheless, it did, and here we are. Once we found out about our pregnancy (TWINS, no less!) we pretty much decided to go ahead and take our home off the market. Which we did. We would finish off some space upstairs we have been using as storage and add a new bedroom and bathroom. There was a couple who had been looking at the house around the holidays pretty closely, but we really thought nothing more of it. We received a call from their realtor a few days after Joe took the house off the MLS. He informed us that now that our home was off the market, the couple was very interested in buying it. After a few more showings and informing them of our impending "situation," they told us that, yes, they definitely wanted to buy, and we decided to go ahead and sell. We have settled on a lot about 5 down from our current home, still in the same neighborhood. It is so convenient living so near to Billy and Kelly, we hated to give that up by leaving the area. Our plans are to close on our house early to mid-March, we will be able to stay here while we build our new home (which is a HUGE plus! we had decided that if selling were to require us to move TWICE, it would not be anywhere close to being worth it), and we plan to be in within about 3 months. Let's hope the weather cooperates! I have seen Joe build a home in less time than this, so I have faith that he can do it. Saying our prayers! Anytime later than this and our two new additions could already be here! So, call us crazy, but yes, we are building a new home this year. After diligently thinking, talking, and praying about this, we have decided that we will be in a more comfortable home that will better suit the needs of our growing family. So, here we go!
In addition to talking home plans, babies, paint colors, and flooring options, we have so been enjoying this weather. Kate and I met Nana for lunch at Moe's...mmmm. Today Joe got home from work a little early, so we were all able to get outdoors and enjoy the beautiful weather! Casey got a bath, we took a stroll down the street to visit the McMurray's, and Billy, Kelly, and Will came over for grilling hamburgers. Great day!
Kate loves riding her 4-wheeler; especially now that she can push the button on her own and make it go!
Watching Casey get a bath; oh how Casey loves her baths! Well, not exactly.
I love being outdoors!
Daddy helping me steer the 4-wheeler! Haven't quite figured that out yet...
Will this thing off-road?!
Love this little girl!
Zipping by in my red wagon
Silly girl!
Catch me, Daddy!
I am officially 14 weeks along now. I have recently starting feeling a good bit better as far as the nausea (woohoo!). We will go back to the doctor in less than 2 weeks. Hoping they will be able to tell sexes when we go then, but it could very well be the next visit. I have busted out with the maternity pants this week. The "belly band" has been a good friend, but I have found with twins it can only bring you so far. Hope everyone has a great weekend!
