31...But Who's Counting?

Oh yes, I am now officially "thirty-something."  Ouch.  But it sure did ring in nice.  My birthday present from Joe was a night at the Ritz-Carlton at Lake Oconee...yes!!!!!  So nice getting to enjoy your birthday on a Saturday.  Friday night we went out to dinner with my parents and sister, Billy, and Will to T's.  I hadn't been there in a while, and when some coworkers ordered it for lunch the other day, I was likin' what I saw :)  It was quite good too.  Mom had surprised me with my most favoritest cake in the world...the strawberry cake from "A Piece of Cake" here in town.  To the wonderful ladies at this bakery that make these cakes, THANK YOU.  You are TRULY AMAZING!  It is stupid good.  I have no other words to describe this cake.  If you haven't tried it, you must go get one.  Period.  Ok...enough about food :)
Grammy came in Saturday morning to keep Kate for us while we headed up to Lake Oconee.  The weather was so beautiful and we had such a good weekend.  So nice to "vacate life" sometimes, even when things are great.  The little "breathers" help to get us through, especially considering the craziness that has been our household these past few months.  We had a nice dinner then returned to the hotel by about 8pm, went to bed and went to sleep.  And slept until about 9:30 the next morning.  Ahh...sleep.  So underrated.  Thank you Joe for an awesome birthday present...rest and relaxation!

Had never been here before, but sure want to go back soon!

I have been feeling well, coming up on 14 weeks.  My pants are not fitting very well anymore!  It's so early!  Wow...what am I going to look like come July?!  Oh heaven help me ;)

    Way to go Joe!! Beautiful place!! Happy B-day Amanda!! So glad you got to relax....sleep is so underrated! haha! And I LOVE the ladies at A Piece of Cake too! I'll have to try the strawberry one for Kaybeth's party this year!! :)

    ps. tell Kelly I miss reading her blog!! would love to see how much Will has grown! :)

    Happy bday Amanda! Sounds like Joe did good!!! :) Keep in mind you do have TWO of them in there this time so you are entitled to get bigger sooner! :) Glad you are feeling good! Keep us posted! I have Carson's 2nd bday on Sat and A Piece of Cake is doing his cake as well... they are really cute, unfortunately I can't eat it (milk allergy)... it stinks!
