Easter Egg Dyeing

This morning Joe went turkey hunting so Kate and I headed over to Will's house to dye some Easter eggs.  We had a lot of fun and even more laughs!!  Not sure egg dyeing was intended for toddlers, but we still made it work!  And it was quite funny.  Kate and Will for some reason were more interested in stirring the eggs around the cups and taking the spoon and splashing all the dye out all over the table and the floor!  We were all covered by the time we were through!  And the legend of the 'ugly egg' continues!

Sorry, Will, but this was really funny!  Notice Kelly laughing.  He got frustrated when he couldn't 'stir' the egg in the dye and when Kelly got onto him for flinging the dye out everywhere!  Definitely ALL boy.  Hahaha!

Kate looks like she's being gentle with the egg...this was about 4 minutes before she chunked it at me.

The bunny ears didn't last long on Kate's head this year.

Pretty pink egg

Daddy showed up to catch the tail end of our 'dye fest.'  Kate pretended he was an egg and started putting stickers all over him.

Love my Daddy!

Ya'll are brave!!! We have stuck to the bright PLASTIC eggs so far, but maybe I will be brave enough to try out the dyeing thing next year!

  2. They are brave!! My kids STILL are messy with the dying eggs. In fact, this year I put each egg in the color they picked. They still had fun, though. They love putting stickers on the eggs! :) Glad ya'll had a Happy Easter!!

    Praying for you!
