The End of Another School Year

We had two separate end of the year parties this year.  Kate's was "Splash Day" outside on the lawn with her class, and the boys' party was a playdate with their classmates at McDonald's.  

We were blessed to have this sweet teacher two years in a row.  First with Kate and now with the boys.  Mrs. Head we will miss you next year more than you know!  You have a true gift in teaching these little ones.  We are so grateful to have experienced it!

Some of the sweet moms organized a picnic for the class after the graduation was over.  I will miss these women so much!  Several of them have been in class with us for the past 2-3 years.  

Goodbye FBC!  Next up...Kindergarten!  Oh our sweet Kate...My heart hurts to think of you not being in this place next year, sweet girl.  But I know you will shine in all you do in the years to come.  For the Lord "began a good work in you, and He will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Phil 1:6)  I pray that you know Jesus well, so that in you others can see the reason for the hope that we have in Him.

Lindsay and Jeremy have a fun tradition of hosting an annual Masters Party at their home each year on Masters Sunday.  She does such an awesome job...pimiento cheese sandwiches, Green Jacket salad, peach ice cream cookie sandwiches, and we even had our own Green Jacket.  We are usually out of town each year due to renting our home, but since we sold our home last fall we were in town this year to experience this fun tradition :)  Thanks for having us, Haswells!  Such a fun evening.

A really exciting thing happened this Spring...Kate learned to ride her bike without training wheels!  We were so proud of her.  

We went fishing at William and Donna's pond one Saturday morning.  Such a beautiful place.

We welcomed sweet Wyatt into the world on May 11!  We are thrilled to have a new cousin and nephew!

Easter 2015

Easter was really fun this year.  The kids were more into the egg-dyeing thing, which I must confess has always been a favorite tradition of mine.  There's just something about pulling out the vinegar, cups, spoons, tablets, and Paas egg kit that brings me back to childhood.  Kelly and I used to get so excited over it.  Fun to see our own littles get into it too :)  However, while eggs and bunnies are fun and exciting, there is no greater joy than sharing with these little ones the concept of the death and resurrection of Jesus, and what it means for each of them.

We woke up Easter morning shouting, "He is risen!" Sweet little voices were so excited running through the house celebrating the resurrection of Jesus.  

Easter Sunday kicked off Masters Week this year.  Our church put in a little putting green in one of the grassy areas adjacent to the parking lot.

We had an egg hunt at Kelly's Easter afternoon/evening.  We were so happy the Haswells got to come over and hunt with us!
